Watch Quinton de Kock’s bizarre water bottle incident after CSK vs KKR IPL 2025 match

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock was seen drinking water in a peculiar way, by biting off the bottom of a plastic bottle, after their impressive win against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The match took place on Friday, April 11, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

CSK struggled in their batting innings, only managing to score 103/9 in their 20 overs—their lowest total at Chepauk. Shivam Dube showed some resistance with an unbeaten 31 off 29 balls, while Sunil Narine was KKR’s standout bowler with three key wickets.

In the chase, KKR made it look easy. Quinton de Kock contributed 23 runs, while Narine blasted a quick 44 off 18 balls. Skipper Ajinkya Rahane (20*) and Rinku Singh (15*) ensured a smooth finish as KKR completed an eight-wicket victory with 59 balls to spare.

After the game, de Kock was spotted beside CSK’s Devon Conway as he unexpectedly bit the bottom of his water bottle to take a sip, leaving fans amused by the unusual act.
