NYT Mini Crossword Clues And Answers For Tuesday, November 26

Wondering what Nick has two Best Actor nominations? Not sure what a palindromic principle might be? Don’t worry, because I’m here to help you with the answers for today’s NYT Mini crossword.

The NYT Mini is a quick and dirty version of the newspaper’s larger and long-running crossword. Most days, there are between three and five clues in each direction on a five by five grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays.

Unlike its larger sibling, the NYT Mini crossword is free to play on the New York Times website or NYT Games app. However, you’ll need an NYT Games subscription to access previous puzzles in the archives.

To help you avoid getting stuck and having to reveal missing letters, here are the NYT Mini Crossword answers for Wednesday, November 27 (spoilers lie ahead, of course):

NYT Mini Crossword Clues And Answers

NYT Mini Across Answers

1 Across: “This is only a ___” — TEST

5 Across: Drink that might be hard to sip through a straw — SHAKE

6 Across: “Vital” body part — ORGAN

7 Across: Nick with two Best Actor nominations — NOLTE

8 Across: Thoughtful, as a gesture — SWEET

NYT Mini Down Answers

1 Down: Kind of blanket or pillow — THROW

2 Down: Excellent golf score — EAGLE

3 Down: Footwear with wheels or a blade — SKATE

4 Down: Palindromic principle — TENET

5 Down: Hermes and Hercules, to Zeus — SONS

It took me 1:06 to complete today’s NYT Mini.

Not a terrible time considering I struggled with some clues. I thought the “vital” clue was HEART at first and NOLTE was the only Across word I got on the first pass. The golf score, SKATE and SONS made the Across words clear on my second pass.

I disagree that a SHAKE is a hard drink to sip through a straw. That’s literally the only way I drink shakes! Just need to make sure the straw is thick enough for the particular consistency. I’m not sure I would have gotten TENET either (that, by the way, is by far Christopher Nolan’s weakest film).
