What Sets Successful Companies Using AI Apart

Three years ago, when we asked companies how they were utilizing artificial intelligence in their operations, the top-performing companies (the leaders) were distinguished in five key areas: governance, deployment, partnerships, people, and data availability. With the emergence of generative AI (gen AI) since then, we conducted a follow-up in late 2023, surveying over 100 companies across sectors such as automotive and mining, and conducting in-depth interviews with senior executives.
