Will Joel Embiid and Paul George be in the lineup against the Lakers on January 28th?

The Philadelphia 76ers are preparing to face the LA Lakers in a cross-conference showdown on Tuesday. Unfortunately, the Sixers will be missing two key players, Joel Embiid and Paul George, who have both been ruled out for the game. Additionally, three other players on the Sixers’ roster are also sidelined due to injuries.

Embiid, recovering from a left knee injury, was seen practicing shooting during Monday’s session. The 7-foot center participated in drills with the second unit but has not yet received clearance for game action.

“He was in most of (practice),” coach Nick Nurse said. “We work with those guys that are going to be playing tomorrow, mostly. He was in all of the drills, but kind of with the next unit or whatever, just to get him re-acclimated and playing in part of the practice.”

Paul George is also unavailable due to a finger injury, with an official update on his status pending. He will be missing the game against the Lakers and did not participate in Monday’s practice.

In addition, Andre Drummond (recovering from a left toe injury), Caleb Martin (dealing with a right hip sprain) and KJ Martin (suffering from a left foot stress reaction) will all be sidelined for the Sixers.

On a positive note, there is hope that Guerschon Yabusele will be available as he is listed as “probable” with right knee swelling.
