Prepare yourself for a blast from the past as a familiar family is making a comeback on television.
During an appearance on The Tucker Carlson Show, Willie Robertson revealed that he and his family are “getting back in production” for a new series, described as “the next generation of Duck Dynasty.”
That’s right, it’s a Duck Dynasty reboot!
“My kids are older,” Willie mentioned during the podcast. “Between 2017 and 2024, a lot has happened. The cast has grown up, and it felt like the time was right to bring back the show. The family met with A&E, discussed the opportunity, prayed about it, and decided that now is the right time to do it. The kids were excited about it.”
Duck Dynasty originally premiered on A&E on March 21, 2012, and ran for 11 seasons until April 5, 2017.
The show revolved around the Robertson family and their business in West Monroe, Louisiana, Duck Commander, which produces products for duck hunters.
Duck Dynasty’s immense success led to several spinoffs like Jep & Jessica: Growing the Dynasty and Going Si-Ral. After the original series concluded, two more spinoffs aired, In the Woods with Phil and Duck Family Treasure.
Reflecting on the journey of the original show’s 11 seasons, Willie mentioned the dedication it required but also highlighted the joy of meeting fans who expressed how the show had impacted their lives.
He shared with Carlson, “Listening to people talk about the show and how it meant something to them is truly special. Many have shared stories of watching the show with loved ones or finding comfort in it during tough times.”
As a known Donald Trump supporter, Robertson didn’t disclose details about the cast of the new series but hinted that his family will be at the center of it.
Willie is married to Korie, and they have six children together: John Luke, Sadie, Will, Rowdy, Bella, and Rebecca.
Willie currently serves as the CEO of Duck Commander, transforming it from a family-run business to a multimillion-dollar enterprise.
