In the men’s singles, two five-set marathons are over.
Gael Monfils beat compatriot Ugo Humbert (18), 6-4, 3-6, 6-7(5), 7-5, 6-2, while Márton Fucsovics beat American Aleksandar Kovacevic 6-3, 6-7(5), 6-1, 5-7, 6-4.
Better fortunes for Marcos Giron of the U.S., who beat Camilo Ugo 7-6(6), 7-6(4), 6-3, though Brandon Nakashima (29) saw his match against Yunchaokete Bu of China suspended at 6-4, 4-6, 7-6(1) due to the 11pm BST curfew.
In the women’s singles: Anastasia Zakharova got past Victoria Azarenka 6-2, 2-6, 6-1, while Elsa Jacquemot of France beat Pole Magda Linette (28) 6-7(7), 6-1, 6-4.
That means there is only one match left going at Wimbledon: Novak Djokovic vs. Alexandre Muller, which is at 1-1 in the third set. There will be updates from that match, plus reaction to and analysis of all the other matches today too.
