Yemen’s Houthi rebels’ spokesperson, Mohammed Abdulsalam, stated that his country will continue to defend itself despite US strikes targeting facilities in Sanaa.
Abdulsalam condemned the US aggression, calling it a violation of Yemen’s sovereignty and support for Israel’s crimes against the people of Gaza.
The US military confirmed strikes on Houthi-controlled locations in Sanaa and coastal areas in Yemen on two consecutive days.
The attacks targeted Houthi command and control facilities, as well as weapon production and storage facilities containing missiles and drones.

Al Masirah TV reported 12 air raids by US military jets in Sanaa, targeting two districts. The Houthis have been attacking commercial ships in the Red Sea to enforce a blockade on Israel in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.
Israeli air attacks hit Yemen’s airport and port city, resulting in casualties. The Houthis vowed to respond to the attacks promptly.
Since 2014, the Houthis have been in control of Sanaa and have faced opposition from the Saudi-led coalition supporting the Yemeni government.
‘The support to Gaza continues’
Israel’s UN ambassador warned the Houthis to stop missile attacks on Israel, threatening retaliation against Iranian proxies. Following the interception of a missile from Yemen, the Houthis stated that attacks on Israel would continue.
Despite warnings from Israel and the ongoing conflict, the Houthis remain steadfast in supporting Gaza and resisting Israeli aggression.
